WEDDING PHOTOS TO CHERISH FOR A LIFETIME

To me, the memories that are rekindled from high quality wedding photographs are a special gift to be sweetly savored over the years. As we grow older and our perspectives of past events change, a good photograph, one that clearly conveys the precious moods and feelings, the joys and happiness of a moment, is a treasure to be cherished for a lifetime. The value is priceless. Your wedding is indeed your special day in time. Your photographer has the awesome responsibility of placing those highly personal events of that day in the finest and clearest photographic light imaginable; creatively capturing all the beauty, love and emotions of your wedding; to have and to hold, forever.

MICHAEL WEINBERG PHOTOGRAPHY

SINCE 1989

A professional photographer/graphic artist since 1989, I have produced a wide variety of materials, both artistic and technical, for print and web publications, for business, industries and non-profit organizations. Over the years and decades, as I have worked hard to sharpen and strengthen my photographic craft and skills, I have formulated several objectives which help to guide me in providing the high quality photography services essential to my clients.

Pennsylvania Digital Photographer Specializing in professional portrait, landscape, wedding, aerial, bar mitzvah, bat mitzvah, fashion, commerical architectural, fine art, floral and journalistic photography. The goal: to create long-lasting vivid and colorful memories, captured photographically for people coming together, from far and near, to celebrate a truly special event. Located in Clarks Summit, Lackawanna County Pennsylvania, I travel all over the continental United States capturing images, both for business and for pleasure. Many of my business and commercial images are used in the graphic design of advertising brochures for industry, retail, wholesale and non-profit organizations and establishments. I use mainly Canon Digital cameras, EOS 300D and the new Canon 20D, but I use a variety of lenses from diferent manufacturers including Sigma and Tamron. Ny favorite lenses are the Tamron sp af 28-75mm f2.8 xr di ld asph, and the canon ef 50mm f/1.4 usm. Also I use a wide variety of circular UV and polarizing filters with much of my work, especially when doing landscapes and architectural photography when the sun is out burning bright. On the photo editing end, my main work horse is Adobe Photoshop 8.0 as part of the Adobe CS Suite of publishing tools. I have become particularly fond of the new shadow/highlight tool which helps me to reveal objects that appeared to be in totally dark areas. In the photo above, I used the shadow / highlight tool to reveal the light spaces on the front porch. This tool is also quite useful in producing and composing portrait work when the main subject does not contrast well with a dark background. Use of the shadow / highlight tool in conjunction with the fade tool in the edit menu is a powerful way to tweak photos into perfection. It allows the photographer to have perfect exposure. And of course, we should not forget the hue / saturation tool which can act as a polarizing filter. I especially like to use the hue saturation tool when editing photos taken with slow shutter speed and small apertures f/11 thru f/22. The greatest thing a critic can say to me about my work is not that it is spot on, not that the exposure was perfect or the focus extremely sharp, not that the compositoin was flawless or that my work adhered to the rule of thirds, but that the photo made them smile or made them feel good....that they liked the colors and it made their eyes to pop. now you can find from time to time on photosig or pbase, or sometimes you will see perusing through the new york times or the wall street journal or the washington post.

Both seem animated and irresistably cute. 9) The male duck (mallard) turns his head and poses for the Weinberg Photographer showing fine feathers, a rich coat, a well detaied yellow beak and a glisten in the eye while floating in the rippled waters of the lily pad pond of the Botanic Gardens. 10) Two children, all snuggled up with red cheeks, in their carriage, awaiting the parade with keen attention and bright wide eyes and colorful warm clothing. 11) The side view of the ASA Packer Mansion Bed and Breakfast in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. Features shrubbery and vegetation the appears to be three dimensional. 12) The dance lesson at Vince Brust Studios, where instructor Vince demonstates dance moves with this particularly graceful student. Notice the twinkling lights in the background. Note about white balance. Michael Weinberg Photography uses automatic and custom white balance settings to get the best exposures and spot colors on white flowers, wedding dresses and wedding cakes.

special notes about Wedding Photography:
Michael Weinberg has traveled extensively, as a photographer, covering events from California to New York. Though he is primarily a commercial photographer, the technical skills he uses to bring out ultimate color and perfect exposures to photographs, of people, products, places, buildings, structures, events, etc., make him well suited to be an outstanding wedding photographer. In fact, for his services, and from viewing the photos here on line, Michael Weinberg has received requests from as far away as London England. What most folks like about this particular web site is the sheer size and magnitude of the photos presented. It shows that as a photographer, he finds great pride in showing every detail contained within the work. Nothing is hidden. When produced in large size, all flaws and blemishes are revealed... but this camera man fears not the critics as he is proud of all that displays on this site. Also it should be noted that Michael Weinberg owes a great deal of gratitude to his wife Phyllis who is an incredibly able photographic assistant and weddings and events. She is an expert in getting people to pose for photos when it is their time. She soothes them and makes them feel at ease in front of the camera. She adjusts the womens' make up, clothing and hair so that they look as great as they feel. She also understands the 3-dimensional nature of photography and makes sure that groups of people sit and stand in just the right places to optimize the photographic effect.
