WEDDING GUESTS CAUGHT IN THE FOYER

Two guests at a recent wedding at the Glen Foerd Mansion of Philadelpia caught in an almost candid pose. In the dark, they seemed almost gladended to be the subject of this Photographer's lens and eye. Remote ettl flash used to control
shadows.

About the Glen Foerd Mansion, Philadelphia, PA on the Delaware

As you walk from location to location, in season, you will see blooming crocus, hyacinth, daffodil, tulip, forsythia, narcissus, andromeda, azalea, rhododendrum, tulips, Virginia cowslip, and trees such as star magnolias, weeping Japanese cherries, and black and white oaks that date back over 300 years. The three-story section of the mansion was built as an Italianate house in the country, circa 1850, by Charles Macalester. It was enlarged and transformed into an Edwardian country house by Robert Foerderer in 1902-1903. The enclosure of the sunporch was completed in 1928. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the mansion has an art gallery, pipe organ, elaborate stained glass skylights, and a rathskellar. Also on the grounds is the boat house which serves as a reminder of the prominence of river transportation until the turn of the century and offers spectacular river vistas. Unfortunately vandalized by fire in the 1980’s, restoration efforts are now underway at Glen Foerd to rebuild the structure, replicating its original appearance and magnificence.

special notes about Wedding Photography:
Michael Weinberg has traveled extensively, as a photographer, covering events from California to New York. Though he is primarily a commercial photographer, the technical skills he uses to bring out ultimate color and perfect exposures to photographs, of people, products, places, buildings, structures, events, etc., make him well suited to be an outstanding wedding photographer. In fact, for his services, and from viewing the photos here on line, Michael Weinberg has received requests from as far away as London England. What most folks like about this particular web site is the sheer size and magnitude of the photos presented. It shows that as a photographer, he finds great pride in showing every detail contained within the work. Nothing is hidden. When produced in large size, all flaws and blemishes are revealed... but this camera man fears not the critics as he is proud of all that displays on this site. Also it should be noted that Michael Weinberg owes a great deal of gratitude to his wife Phyllis who is an incredibly able photographic assistant and weddings and events. She is an expert in getting people to pose for photos when it is their time. She soothes them and makes them feel at ease in front of the camera. She adjusts the womens' make up, clothing and hair so that they look as great as they feel. She also understands the 3-dimensional nature of photography and makes sure that groups of people sit and stand in just the right places to optimize the photographic effect.
